It may be tough for a tall person to make snowboarding look smooth and easy, but 6-foot 2-inch Norwegian Mikkel Bang does it with style. He had his first winter out of school in 2010 and it paid off: He won the Burton U.S. Open Slopestyle (March), took third at the Arctic Challenge (Feb.) and bronze in Winter X Big Air. He also has bronze from WX Slopestyle in 2009. Check for his 1260s at WX 2011. He likes to remind people that his name is pronounced "Mikkel as in nickel."
