Morgan Parra Profile
DOB: 15/11/1988
Position: Scrum-half
Height: 1,78 m (5 ft 11 in)
Weight: 80 kg (168 lb)
Club: ASM Clermont Auvergne
Honours: 2010 Six Nations Grand Slam
Debut: v Scotland 2008
Biography:
Morgan Parra made his Test debut for France as a capricious 19-year-old during the 2008 Six Nations, as part of Marc Lièvremont’s new generation. Despite his small frame, Parra has cemented his role as France’s first-choice scrum-half thanks to his outstanding vision, rapid service and reliable goal-kicking. In 2010 Parra was instrumental in guiding France to a Six Nations Grand Slam alongside fly-half Francois Trinh-Duc.
Renowned for his fiery character, Parra is the stereotypical terrier scrum-half and is never afraid to bark orders at his pack. Despite his young age (he will be just 22 when the tournament kicks off) Parra is expected to be handed the goal kicking role for Les Bleus.
